What is Light Up A Life?
Light Up A Life is a time of celebration and reflection, remembering the life and love of those who are dear to us by dedicating a light on our Christmas tree in their memory. Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice would like to invite you to join us at this special time of year to honour the memory of those we have lost or who are far from us. Whether you are already a supporter or have never been involved with the Hospice, this invitation is open to everyone who would like to take the time to celebrate the life and love of those who are dear to us.
What is the Light Up A Life event?
You are invited to gather around our Christmas tree at 6.30pm on Monday 7 December 2009 for a special service of carols and readings, and the official switching on of our tree lights. Afterwards, there will be Christmas refreshments and stalls to enjoy next door at South Farnham School. It’s free to attend and you can just turn up on the night. We recommend you wrap up warm and bring a torch! (Parking is free at South Farnham School.)
How will my message be displayed?
This year, in place of a Book of Remembrance, we will be displaying candle-shaped cards with your messages at our Light Up A Life event to show you have dedicated a light in memory of your loved ones. Please return your completed candle with the donation form in the leaflet if you would like us to add it to our display. (If you would like to light up a life without a message on the candle, please return the form on its own. You might like to keep the candle for your own tree.)
How do I dedicate a light on the Hospice's tree?
You can call us on 01252 729446 to request a hard copy of the leaflet or email us at fundraising@pth.org.uk. Or you can make your dedication online through our webshop.(If you choose to sponsor your light online, please use the candle on the PDF below to print out and send in to us if you would like us to add it to our display at the event on the night. If you aren't able to print it out, there will be an option to request a candle from us in the post when you make your donation online.)
